• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I know this has been posted before but......................what car tires can I put on the front of my RT? Looks like I made need them soon.

Front tires

If you go to the on-line tire rack site you can probably find the exact same size in some type of car tire ,,,,However the choice is very very limited......I have 185/60 R- 14's......which fit OK.......I am very fussy tho , so I took my dremel with the CARBIDE CUTTER ( looks like a drill bit, but it only cuts sideways i.e. it trims or enlarges holes or straight edges about $8 )......and moved the holes over slightly on the brackets that hold the fenders on........the tires are slightly wider and if you move the fender out a little it all works better......some have just added a couple of washers.....Good Luck......PS I think some have also used 175 / 55 R-14's.......Mike :thumbup:................PPS the car tires work lots better ...................................................................... WOW, I just realized this is my 2000 th Post watch out Bob :2excited:

:congrats: on 2,000 MIke! :yes::yes:

Bridgestone Potenzas are available in the 165/65-R14 size that we need. Firefly recently switched to them and is pretty happy...

I ordered General Altima 185/60-R14's from Walmart for $69. They are a 50,000 mile tire with a deep directional tread similar to the stock tire. They should be here next week.

PICTURES ? ? ?

Mike,
Do you have any pictures of the modifications that you made to the fender brackets?

Well yes I do Bob, they are in my really nifty Digital camera.........Mike :thumbup:.............................................................and you know darn well I can't Post them

Are they going to fit OK? I am going to be needing some real soon and I like the looks of these.

Ain't technology fun? :gaah:

I haven't ridden in a couple of days, doing more mods, but I will check tonight

Dave are they wearing good? How many miles do you have on them?

Sorry I didn't see your question, and I'll check the tires when I get home tonight and report back my findings. I changed the rear at 22,000 and the fronts at 30,000 and we should hit a total of 40,000 miles by this weekend
:ohyea:
