• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Filter Cap Bolt issue

may help those who have SE 5's avoid a similar outcome. Next time you have the panel off color code the caps and bolts(different colors for eng/trans of course). A dot of color on each is all you need.

Belive me Jerbear, the sharpies are comming out after this is all done. The trailer will be here at 09:00 Thursday morning to take it in for surgery. I'll let you all know how it goes.

I hate to admit it but I did the same thing last year on my 2011 RT-S. I just bit the bullet and put on a new outer case. Parts and labor ( $75 hour ) about $800.00

Well that is worst case but if it gets me back on the road I will bite the same bullet.

They took her to the hospital today. Miss her already. My brother was talking about taking the kids to DC for the cherry blossoms this weekend. I really wanted to take the spyder.

Thanks for all the support. I got her back Friday night (4/12/2013). I ended up getting the housing replaced. It was $615 including the flatbed transport. An expensive lesson to be sure but a good lesson for me. When I work on the bike, I work on the bike. No multi-tasking. Do it right and take the time to do it right.

Ouch..!!

that was painful no doubt...good to hear your back on the road once again..enjoy...!! :2thumbs:
