There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. New Fender Turn Signals

Some new turn signals I installed on my fenders. I realize I posted this in my mods thread two days ago, but since no one commented, Im reposting it in case someone missed it.

Red is wired to both running and brakes, so they get brighter when braking. Yellow is, of course, turn signals.
Red runs in the seam between the mudflap and the fender, under the reflector. Yellow runs only over the reflector.
As always, these awesome lights are from Reggy at TricLED.

Blinker and brake light work independently of the fender and running light (Never liked how some setups made the whole thing blink)

In addition, the reflector is still on the spyder, allowing the bike to fend for itself when not in use.

I missed it......and I love them!! I'm looking for more rear visability and this is just the ticket...thank you!! Could you tell me the part numbers that you ordered for what you have please? Did you install yourself? I have a hubby that's handyman challanged :D so I'd have to find someone to install them for me. I'm sure I could find someone. :doorag:

Just talk to Reggy at TricLED. He'll know what you need. 2x 12" red project nite strip and 2x umm.. 6"? (he sent me 10.5" strips and I trimmed around half off) Amber project nite LEDs. Also 2x turn signal harness and 2x brake light harness. The brake lights needed to have about a 10' wire and a diode at the end where it connects to both the brake running light and the braking light. I ran the left fender brake light wiring through the fender to meet with the right fender brake wiring, then ran them both down the right side of the bike to where I connected them to the brake harness and into the brake lights.

The turn signals I basically had them follow the brake light wiring up into the bike, but instead of running down the back the the bike, they ran up into the mirror turn signals, connecting in with the harness mentioned above.

I did not remove the wheel or fender from the bike. First I cleaned and primed the areas on the mud flaps where the lights were to be placed. Then I applied the turn signal first, the end with the wiring aiming towards the inside of the bike. This is important as the reds run over the top of some of the yellow wiring to hide them. I the loosened the mudflap a bit, and pushed both wires between the mudflap and and fender panel, then ran the wiring along the rear fend support arm using zip ties, then followed the existing wiring along the A arms towards the middle of the bike, then ran them up into the body, and ran them as described above.

Nice job! Must have been a challenge running the Brake tap in all the way out there?

Only real challenging part was getting them past the passenger hand grips. They couldn't be removed completely without removing the seat, which I wasnt going to do. So I removed the 3/4 screws/bolts I could and just tried to shove them underneath and feed them to the other side.

You keep coming up with pretty neat ideas! :2thumbs:
My missus has forbidden me to contact you...

Here are some other placements I toyed with before going with my original idea.

I might still do something like this next one... ( though probably not exactly this)

How does it look with the lights off in daylight? I have been wanting to do something on the mud flap and this looks the best idea so far.

A bit more visible than I'd prefer, but I'm VERY picky when it comes to that. Really not a fan of turned off LED strips. I'll take a pic for you in a bit.

As an example of my pickiness, I very nearly didn't get the Tric Fenders, which are generally considered a must have.

Off and on in the daylight. Brake pedal not depressed.

Here is a short video I did the other night. I wish the camera picked up the different colors better, but still turned out fairly well. One of these days I'l figure out how to take some stable GoPro footage. tried a billion locations, none provide a near stable enough picture. If you watch closely, you can see one of my more subtle lights behind the honeycomb grill.
