• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New ESI light idea?

A year ago I picked up a few goodies at the (then NoMagic Neon) ESI booth at Americade.

Ev and Jodie were all busy doing installs, and I chatted with Pat and suggested that plasma rods might be nice to put in the air scoops where folks put the BRP fog lights.

Now with ESI planning fog lights with a new mounting location, and more people wanting that air flow to remain unblocked, I had a thought:

When I purchased my DayRunners, I chatted with Ev about whether to get the white or amber. When my white ones were delivered, I played around with other mounting locations, other than the recommended one.

After installing the white, and still wanting amber lights as well, I pictured the mounting piece for the LED's as a ring instead of a bar, same connector and all--maybe a bit longer wiring, and the same mounting adhesive, except that such a ring of lights would be inserted into those scoop holes.

There would be a (nice amber) glow facing forward with no backwash which would not restrict any airflow but would certainly improve head-on visibility.

:dontknow:

In case your competitors are reading this, Ev, I will be happy to send you detailed orthographic projection prints along with scale 3D models done in ABS, if you like.

All I request in return is your continued undying friendship...

That sounds like a very interesting concept.

If it wasn't for the legal ramifications of some state highway laws, it would be cool to offer them as a color match to the Spyder as well. I am still thinking Millenium Yellow here. :D

OK, SpyderWolf, I think it's just time that you paint your Spyder amber so that then you can get all the legal matching lights you want!

Easy to do..I did blue well because I like blue..lol. They don't really shine out because well they are blue and I attract enough attention at night already but I know customerdynamics.com has some great white or amber lights you may be looking for.
Check out the pics in my profile.
