• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Frank,

Looks great so much better than chrome (IMHO).

I probably missed an earlier post, but are these just the stock items coated? If so where did you get them done?

The only advantage of Canadian winters is it gives plenty of time to make mods.

Thanks,

SteveO

I kind of like the plain aluminum, but the black does look nice. Much preferable to chrome, in my book. Very classy! Nice job!!!

Steve,
Had the Carbon Fiber work done by a young guy in Liberty, MO. It's a new paint process like water bath transfer and yes, it's done over the stock parts. The ceramic was done by a coater in K.C., MO. Had the entire exhaust system sprayed in high temperature ceramic and the heat sheilds on the muffler done in a higher gloss/lower temperature ceramic. Working on removing the handle bar now to have it done in Carbon Fiber. Got it all off last night and it took me 3 hours (big job). I'm sure there are probably prople up your way that do the same paint and ceramic work but if you need the contact info for my sources, PM me and I'll send it along.

Convince him to come to Spyderfest as a vendor!

I have already approach him about that. He's so busy right now (brand new business) that he couldn't be sure. This kid even does this same process to guns. unbelieveable work. I DO plan on bringing a bunch of his business card with me to Cuba, MO. Really nice kid.

I may be in the minority on this... But to my wife and I the ugliest area of our RT-S is behind the windshield. The second is the handlebar... Far to much "Navy" gray for us... lol :2thumbs:

We love what you have done and would love the contact information when you have a moment.

If nothing else we only want that area to and the kick panels to get this treatment. I think it has cleaned the look of the bike quite nicely

Thank you for sharing!

Hey Frank, that looks great! I checked on my parts today and he has not got to them yet. He does great work and is also very buisy. Glad to see the end result after all the emails.

Stripperking, I think I owe YOU thanks for all the assistance.
Some people have expressed interest in contact information for the guy I had do the carbon fiber work. I didn't post it openly here because he's not a spyderlovers.com sponsor and I felt I'd be taking advantage of Lamont who really does a great job here.

Purchase those from one of the sponsors on Spyderlovers.com but don't remember which one. Might of been ESI.
