• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NEW CANADIAN MEMBER...

we also have a dog and had thought about a dog trailer but after pulling a trailer with the rts I think there is too much movement in the hitch to have pooch back there as hitch is attached to the swing arm:wrong:just my opinion others might feel different

Best of luck with your surgery. Had a hip done last year. Knees are tougher, but with your RT waiting, you'll no doubt rehab with gusto so you can get out on it!!

Again, best of luck!!!

I've thought about pulling our dog. But have never acted on it. That's interesting what was said about too much movement for a swing arm hitch. Having hauled horses, moving cargo is much harder on one's equipment. I had never thought about a dog moving around in the trailer. But, it makes sense. WAGS look like a very well made trailer. I like that they are fully enclosed with window and roof vents and roof fan. That's how I would go if I ever did this. The new Bushtec trailer is cool. But, not enclosed.

Welcome

Welcome to the Spyder family. Hope your recovery is quick, I have to have bladder surgery on the 21st of this month. We both should be in good shape for the riding season. I will be in Collingwood near the end of July and always make a trip over Wasaga Beach. I will keep my open and look for you when there.

RYDEon THREE: Visitors are always welcome. Hoping to meet many new Spyder friend once I'm up and about. Good luck with your surgery as well.

...First post on this or any other forum. My current ride is a black 2008 GL1800AL Honda Gold Wing. I'm scheduled for a new Knee in the near future and hopefully a new RT-S or RT-Limited thereafter. I would appreciate any comments/recommendations with regards to the south/central, Ontario area dealers. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

John (Outporter)... Welcome to the forum and the fun in your future with the possibility of a new RT. Just sold my 2009 RS se5 late last fall, after purchasing a 2011 RTS, both of which were/are fantastic machines. I hope you have as much enjoyment as I have had for the past 3 years riding 'round 'The Rock'. I live in St. Philips, Newfoundland, just a few miles from where your photo was taken at Cape Spear. With a handle like "Outporter" I am inclined to think that you may have some connection to NL. Not many outside this Province know of the significance of any of the great & wonderful terms associated with coming from a Newfoundland 'Outport'. Right? Let me know if that is the case.
All the best WRT your knee. Several acquaintances have had similar 'fixes', and in each and every case the results have been absolutely great. Relatively short recovery times as well.

Be well and have fun...
Regards

I've seen the RT in Lava. Nice looking machine. Perhaps we'll meet at one of the Ontario Spyder rides.

Regards,
Stanley

Your right about the term "Outporter", I was born and raised in a small fishing outport in Trinity Bay. I have relatives in the Goulds (not far from St. Phillips), spent some time there the summer of 2010 when I made the trip down on my Goldwing. Did a little touring around the Avalon. I did order my RT Limited and it is currently sitting at the dealers waiting to be picked up as soon as possible after my surgery.
