Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Here is a picture of BRP's new spyder windshield not due out until spring 2009. Looks very nice!

My dealer said it is very clean looking....no wierd bends or anything. I believe this was the exact one that I saw when at homecoming in canada on several canadian spyders.

Well that's going to cut a lot of wind. Hopefully there isn't so much surface area that the mounting holes have a problem keeping it on the bike.

It looks like they have learned from the good and bad design traits of some of the aftermarket shields. Any info on price?

Wow...from one extreme to the other...that thing is huge...it looks like the head of the queen on Aliens.

Doesn't look like they learned that they had to recurve the top a tad. Holy batwings, Batman!

I think it looks good. So far I am pretty happy witht he stock Touring windshield, but I have only been Riding for THREE DAYS...But it IS great1

It's not going to fit so well with the extension mirrors :dontknow:

A little big for my taste. :dontknow:. At least they are working on new stuff. It would make a good winter cold weather shield.

Interesting.

Maybe it will look better with a gradient black screen like the BRP touring has?

Pretty sure the holes will line up.:D

Considering the BRP touring is like $160 - I'm sure this thing will be well over $200.

Hello Spyder-Dude and all of you.
If this is true, than here is what I have to say about that:
BRP anouncing "there new" designed touring Windshields for the Spyders ?

After a long long time in a factory far far away, who they (BRP) did there own research and development and many many Windtunnel tests and with help of several test drivers in several country's BRP found there verry own designed Touring Windshield.
BRP must be super proud of this Windshield design.
We from F1 are more than happy to see a F1 Evolution III "sold" as a BRP Touring Windshield.
BRP, please remember one thing,as at is written on all our websites, pictures and manuals:
{All Images, Text and Windshield Designs are Copyright © 2008 F1-WINDSHIELDS, All Rights Reserved, All F1-Windshield-Designs are PAT. PENDING and Copyright protected
Happy selling!!

There are obvious differences in the detail and fit around the mirrors. The "made-for" look of the BRP did loose you a sale as I will probably wait for it. Such winshields are really not copied as would one that resembled AND operated like your inovative adjustable model.

Oh PLEASE, like the BRP unit looks anything like the warped F1 toenails.

And warning them on a public forum about possible patent infringement ?

A real company would just have their legal team contact BRP directly.

They obviously are not infringing on any F1 patents - as their shields will actually FIT. :D

If the F1 shields are actually installed on 1 out of every 3-4 Spyders as that company claims, BRP would have bought them out.

Seems some just don't like free market capitalism and real competition.

Glad to see more options for people who want to tour AND have a decent looking shield that fits and is profesionally made.

End of rant.

It does appear that BRP actually listens to owners as they are also going to release some anti-vibration bar upgrades and other items to address some of our concerns.

I would also note that the IND7 adjustable CHAD unit was patentened and released prior to the F1 adjustable. Seems patents are flying around just as much as bugs on winshields.:D

:yikes: I was thinking that exact same thought as I viewed it. Do they test these things in wind tunnels anymore? Or, is it all computerized calculations now. I mean, it seems pretty obvious that the original screen could only work if you were lying on the dash.:dontknow:
