• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New BRP seat with pics . . . .

Post again when you take a longer ride. If enough of you can state that you can stand more miles with it, then I'll have to buy it.

Same from our dealer as of yesterday...and ours has been on order even longer, a week after they actually were posted in the BRP parts fiche. Not sure why some dealers got a bunch quicker, but it sounds like some smart dealers ordered several for stock, and demand exceeded supply, like with the Hindles at first. BTW, they said our bags had shipped and the color panels were already in.

Reference your new BRP Comfort Seat. where is Ride Now Ocala located? Did you check any other dealers for comparison prices? I am in Hastings and was wondering if the shop in Ocala could/does beat the other "local" dealer prices on the seat. The amount you quoted sounds great for the seat plus installation, and might make the trip to Ocala worthwhile. Do you have a contact phone number for them,or are they "in the book?"
Thanks.

That looks really nice. I may have not gotten the Corbin seat if mine had come with a seat like that. Hard to say though without actually sitting on it. I like the support the Corbin seat gives me. No more inner thighs falling asleep. Let us know how this works for you on a long ride. :2thumbs:

What color is the stitching? I like black and the pic looks black. I don't care for contrasting thread colors.:spyder:

I just heard from Robs Performance in WI. They just got a shipment of seats in and all were damaged. They will be getting a whole new shipment in the middle of next week. And they order in bulk. Speak with Jackie.

I just got through installing my new comfort seat. The install was easy, but the instructions did not take into account if you have a sport rack installed.

You don't have to remove it. I loosened the 4 bolts on the inside and the 1 holding the underside to it. This allowed enough play to get the seat hinge off and on. It helps if someone is there to hold the seat up to reinstall the nut on the very back. It took me a little over any hour with no help until the nut replaced on the hinge. Sorry no pics my daughter has my camera.

Now I'm off to try it out.

I stopped by my dealer today. The BRP demo unit is here showing the Spyder so I talked to a couple of their people. I asked to see the new seat and they insisted that it isn't out yet.(A couple of them didn't even know it was coming out:dontknow:) The local parts manager also said the same. Same thing about the new luggage. I just want you guys that think you have these items that someone is pulling something on you. :lecturef_smilie: THEY ARE NOT OUT:lecturef_smilie:
Just like my old military days. Some people never get the word.

I am 5'10" with a 31" inseam. I would buy one of the new seats in a minute if I thought it would supprt my tail with the rear portion of the drivers seat.
I am just afraid it's going to be too far back.
Probably have to wait till my dealer gets a Spyder with one on it to try out.

Update on comfort seat

I have put about 225 miles on the new seat. Most of that was today 170 miles. I definitely like it over the stock seat. I'm 5'9" with 30" inseam and with the highway mounted Kury Widow Pegs with stirrups, it was very comfortable ryde today. :2thumbs: Gotta go. I heading back out for another excursion, but I plan to stay in my intended lane

I ordered mine on 5/24/09 ($350.00 because of 25% discount). It came in on 6/05/09. Picked up on 6/06/09. My hubby installed it immediately when we got home (about a 200 mile round trip) and then noticed damage to the driver side front tip. It looked like someone had dragged it across the cement and ripped off a small amount of the material. I did check the seat before we took it home but not good enough. It was also damaged on the passenger side tip. Returned it today 06/07/09, so adding another $60.00 for gas, 8 hours of drive time, and 1 1/2 hours to install/re-install, I guess we break even :dontknow:. So much for a good deal. :( Once again looking forward for the new seat to come in.
