There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. New BRP Rumour

And what about the rumor that you should wait and buy the 2015 Spyder because it will run on water and snow as well as land.....

So are you accepting deposits on these little scooters? :2thumbs:

I don't think so. BRP is doing what they can for the current Spyder problems. I wouldn't want them to drop everything and commit the entire corporation to one project. No one survives that way.

I'm sure there are things that need to be improved on their Sea Doos and Ski Doos too. Would you want BRP to say; 'We'll work on the Spyder issues after we get all these other issues fixed'?

Surely a company like BRP can do more than one thing at a time and get it all done.

Oh, by the way, I've got a sneak picture of the new BRP project... The name of this 2 wheeled project is;

'Go Big or Go Home!'

I'd need to take out an addition life insurance policy and a few valiums before swinging a leg over that :cus:.:shocked:

My first dirt bike

Hey, my first dirt bike had a Rotax 406 single cylinder two-stroke in there. Talk about ding-ding-ding when she fired up. What a beast. The good old days. Personally I doubt BRP would get into the two-wheeler scene. Not their way of doing things. They are paradigm shifters. They built sit-down watercraft when everyone else was making stand-ups. They came out with the rider-forward REV snowmobile when everyone else was sitting on the back of the sled. They came out with the Spyder three-wheeler when the rest of the world was making two-wheelers. They like to do things differently. So I don't see them making a two-wheel bike. Too much competition that already does that very well. As for others making a three-wheeler like the Spyder, one of the things patented on the Spyder is the frunk up front. You might see somebody else take an ATV frame and add a swing arm to it, but they can't do the storage compartment like we have. Strange. That's how I see the Spyder, it has a Surrounding Spar Technology frame more like an ATV that is a 3-beam lightweight construction with excellent rigidity and a low cg, double a-arms up front and swing arm in the rear. It started as a snowmobile with wheels, but morphed towards an ATV frame with a swing arm. That happened between 2001 and 2005.

was that the 23 hp 125cc or the 250? i had one of the first 125's brought into the states. (1970 i think)

They made a 125, 175 and a 250. That looks like the 175. I had a 1975 250 MX with the low pipe. What a blast!

didn't realize they had a 175cc. i got an early model as one of my parents friends had a ski doo dealership in northern nh and they got one for me. at that point i think they only had the 125cc.. the others came a couple years down the road. 23 hp in a 125 was unheard of back then. that sucker really ripped.

Very interesting speculation and rumor. IMO--I don't think so for now or in the very near future.

:ani29:: BRP just did a major upgrade on the RT and still has problems to deal with on the 2013's. That should be distraction enough for now.

:ani29:: The two wheel market is currently pretty full and getting more so as we speak. Unless something comes out that is totally innovative and not copy cat--I don't see much of a market.

:ani29:: The new Indian will be the one to watch this year. Three models offered so far, price point $19,995 - $22,999. 1800 cc V-twin. And--made by a company that will still be around 10 years from now--IMO. They look pretty neat. I like the 26" seat height, and would probably have one if I could still ride two wheels.

:ani29:: HD has even made some drastic (for them) innovations. Water cooled engines instead of air cooled on most of their big stuff.

And the founders of the Company are spinning in their graves...

I don't think that they went "Whole Hog" on liquid cooling :roflblack:

They kind of, sort of; put a water jacket around the exhaust port... :D
At least that's what I've heard about it! :dontknow:

Please note that the 6 (!) NOS bottles are not standard and available as a factory option only...

Your good!--I left that information out because I did not want to go into to much detail for the post.

This is my friend's Can-Am and this is what he says about it, "It is a 1975 model a 175cc TNT (Track N Trail). It’s a two-stroke (oil-injection, not pre-mix), rotary valve, Rotax (Austria) motor, high output for a 175."

i'm thinking that this two wheel monster might be what we saw on the bar napkin drawing about a month ago. anybody with me on this one?
