• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New BRP Adj. Wind Deflectors

NICE add on - I just flat out removed the stock air deflectors as I like the extra wind on those hot days (seems like a lifetime ago for the HOT weather with it being a whopping 18 degrees here today and the spyders are all tucked in for their winter hibernation till spring).

I saw these deflectors at the dealers this weekend, slick setup. Install time should be about 60 seconds each. :2thumbs:. I didn't like the chrome finish much though but it was a little dark in the showroom that night.

Since I've already got the chrome deflectors on mine; upgrading to the new chrome adjustable ones would be the best way to avoid detecton by The Missus! :lecturef_smilie:

Ah, Bob is a fellow "closet farkler" (that sounds bad) - I am running out of opportunities to say "it's been that way for a while." And then the next thing I hear is "when are you adding them to my machine??" (as I have said before - the farkling and mods is nice and all but when you have two machines it usually ends up costing double for every mod or farkle :) I am avoiding the seats with backrests for good reasons :sour:

That's true Bob, until you adjust them the first time. :D Dale

By the time she would see it; "Why Honey; didn't I show you this modification that I made to those beautiful chrome pieces that you bought for me? And it didn't cost a dime!" (It might have cost SEVERAL!!) :roflblack:

Nothing closet about me... I'm "flaming farkler" :2thumbs:

Yes very important

Bob.

very important to keep the Mrs happy but you got to keep her cool in the summer, warm in the winter, dry in the rain. I will more then likely see them when our dealer gets the new accessory stocks:gaah:

To me The wind deflectors are "ON" in the winter and "OFF" come the warmer weather when covering that air vent is detrimental to engine cooling? If their OFF you will get plenty of air flow without paying $$$ to do so- Thats just me?:yikes:

Bob just tell the Missus these are special Chrome adjustable ones designed by BRP to double up as adjustable mirrors
for the lady in you life to check her hair and make up in after a ride out - Upon reflection (sorry about that)
if you just fit the clear ones maybe she will see through that one

I used the new wings today and they worked great. When I started the ride it was 60 degrees and at the end it was 82 degrees so I opened up the wings. It really directed the wind where I needed it.

Has it made any difference to the running temp dependant on the angle you set on the new wings

I installed a clear set on my Spyder yesterday. It couldn't have been much easier and a ride in Southern Maryland-70 degree air in late January proved that they worked just fine. I picked mine up at my local dealer.

In the last picture you posted of the adjustable wings, does that position allow air to actually flow into that top vent:dontknow::hun:

Installed and tested on Florida trip...

I picked up a set of these from my dealer, Extreme Propulsion in Cartersville, on the way to Florida recently. During some of our many tours up and down the Keys in very warm weather I played with the settings some to adjust the air flow. They were easily adjusted on the go while riding. I found the mid- setting seemed to pull more heat up out of the RT side grates which should help with the RT airbox replaced with the Kewl filter kit.
Overall this is a very nice product that gives the rider some much needed flexability in adjusting the airflow and can help the passenger comfort as well.
