• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Brake Pedal

Installed my new brake pedal today. If it looks like a Harley pedal, that's because it is. Got it from J & P Cycle, part #2400365 for $12.99. Had to do just a little modification (drill out one hole) to make it work.

Question: Is that new pedal larger than the aftermarket one sold by TricLED (And others) in here?

If I may ask... what was your reasoning for the modification?

Not to rain on your parade but these are a few things that i had to do after replacing the brake pedal to insure that the floorboard release still worked.

1) a brake pedal return spring because the new brake pedal weighs more than the original and likes to mess with the brake pedal switch for the brake lights.

2 a 2LX1DX3/4H Aluminum Spacer between the new brake pedal and the spot where it connects to the mounting so that the floorboard release mechanism trips before the brake pedal hits the floorboard.

501 580-5595 if you have any questions about what i just said.

Not sure about his reasoning, but mine was that i have big feet and occasionally would miss that little brake pedal. :yikes::yikes:

I didn't like the size of the factory pedal(too small). Easier to find with my foot now.

:agree: A bigger pedal seems easier to find in a tough situation.
I've needed no further modifications with mine; it works perfectly!
