• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

i figure if it doesnt work it wont be a too much loss^^
i was trying to find out if those PIAA were just brighter halogen or HID but no luck

PIAA Extreme Whites are a brighter, whiter halogen...same wattage as stock.

I am curious - you say 55/80 in your description. Which is it? Am I correct that the Spyder does NOT have two filaments in the bulb? but uses a shutter system to allow the light beam to raise and lower? I am confused to say the least. Please help

You are correct on your assessment of the Spyder headlight. PIAA and some other manufacturers use this designation method to indicate the theoretical output of the bulb. A 55/100W lamp uses 55W but supposedly puts out the equivalent light of a 100W lamp. It would be more reassuring if they just listed the output in lumens. I will admit that the PIAAs are brighter than the stock 55W lamp bulb in my BMW, however. No experience with other brands. I think some of the "brighter" effect is due to the color change, and it is just easier for us to see detail when we add the additional wavelengths to bring the light from yellowish toward white.
