• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New baja ron sway bar with lamonster links just installed

I agree with what Wmaoter says. So how does one buy the sway bar from Ron if you don't do Facebook? I do not do FB for a number of reasons but cannot find a way to buy directly from Ron any other way. Anybody have an answer?

The Home page of the Forum has a bunch of Vendor/Sponsor Logo's running right down the middle of it. Click on any of those Logo's & it'll take you directly to their website OR their Vendor/Sponsor section &/or thread. There's even a Supporting Vendor's Forum listed in the main index & linked here:

https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?134-Supporting-Vendors-Forum

Plus, BajaRon has his very own thread that's currently right at the top of that section index. Here's a Link to that Vendor/Sponsor thread:

https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?23928-New-sponsor-here-for-Filters-amp-Helmets

And here's a quote taken from BajaRon's Vendor/Sponsor Thread just below the faceache bits that you'n I can ignore cos we don't do faceache (I added a couple bits of bolding, just to highlight the numbers & his preferences/advice ;) ):

Contact and Purchase Information ~
The best way to Ask Questions or Purchase is to contact me by email at [email protected] OR call me at 423-609-7588
And you can always PM me here at Spyderlovers.com, though email or a phone call will usually get a faster response.

I believe that if you read on thru that thread, you'll find that he does mention that if you buy from him thru ebay, it'll be more expensive, but that might've been somewhere else. :dontknow: . Regardless, AFAICS, phone or email seems to be the way to go if you want to buy from him, reading back thru the history of his support or us & this Forum, the 'other options' are just there to placate those who are social media or internet addicts! :roflblack:

Enjoy!

I used a full size pickup drove up on ramps I had it took 45 minutes with test drive to complete, hugh diffrence.

Thanks Peter. I didn't see his ad at the top of the page in the sub forum I was on. I forgot about going home to see the full listing. Plus I didn't know about the vendor/sponsor thread. I did send him a PM. I'll give him a call in the morning. Again, thanks.

Don't buy anything from me on eBay. I have to charge more there to cover the eBay fees. And frankly, even the increased cost doesn't cover it all. Plus, eBay will charge you tax. Nothing I can do about that. If you call me at the shop (we are open 8-5, M-F, EST) (423)-609-7588, and you live outside of Tennessee. I won't charge you tax (Facebook also charges tax). As you can imagine, the savings are substantial for something like a sway bar kit. You can also email at [email protected] to purchase.

We will have a web page someday. But we are so busy shipping product, that we just never seem to get to it.

I did the early model of Rons sway bar without replacing the original links--No problem after 6K miles so far.
Darrell

I am glad that you are having good luck with your original, plastic end links. I know this is an old post and I am very sorry that I did not see this sooner. But PLEASE! Don't do this!

The original links are a plastic composite. They stretch and compress just a little bit every time you go around a corner. They do hold up pretty well with the stock sway bar. But riders have experienced failures of these end links even with the stock sway bar. My upgrade sway bar puts a great deal more stress on these end links. It's the only way to improve handling. Running one of my sway bar kits with original plastic links greatly increases the chance of failure.

Typically, you can expect the plastic end links to fail at the worst possible time. When you are hard into a turn and putting maximum stress on the sway bar components. Those plastic pieces are definitely the weak link. If one fails, it will likely come without warning and create an event that you are not going to like.

It's not a matter of me trying to sell you something that you don't need. And it is not my intention to employ any scare tactic to make a sale. It is simply a matter of safety, which I take very seriously. Frankly, I would rather give you a set of end links than have you riding around on plastic for the lack of $69.00.

Our end links are rated to over 6,500 lbs. Which is overkill as the sway bar system will never exert anywhere near that much stress on any component. But when it comes to safety, overkill makes me feel very good. I want my customers to enjoy their ride and never have to worry about a failure.

As I said, I know this is an old post. And I hope you are still enjoying a safe ride. But let's get you a set of end links. I've sent you a PM.
