Finally took delivery of my 2016 RTE6!
Thanks to all the advice here, I was prepared for the handling “Quirks” of the Spyder:bowdown:. I think the hardest thing to get used to is the side to side movement, just not used to that after 50 years on two Wheels.
Front tires needed balancing. Much better after dealer added Ride On (His Dime).
Comfort seat and shop manual Now on order (were part of the deal), salesman “had a computer crash and lost all my data”, Riiiiight I believe that!
On the changes for 2016:
Tool Kit is now mounted in the bottom of the trunk, and included the yellow cloth and the digital air pressure gauge (reads 2 PSI high, but OK to have along).
Single large brake master cylinder reservoir is more convenient .
I can confirm the “Instant On”, just turn the key / hit the MODE button / start the engine, no wait time!
USB music is a little quirky, but is really convenient, USB sticks are cheap so are very flexible.
Shorty Antenna is nice, but it's range is compromised over a longer one. I live in the mountains, so reception sucks anyway!
What BRP calls: 708400152 Support (Windshield Support)
and 705007411 Windshield Cap | Model with Package STD
are both black, looks nice.
Have put 600Kms' on since Wed. and I can say for sure I'm Happy:2thumbs:
