• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well I went and did it yesterday. Traded in my 2012 rts e5 for a new 2015 beautiful red ltd.
Sure ride smoother than my 2012 and you can tell there is a different motor and tranny in it.
I just have to remember to put it in 6th gear instead of stopping at 5 on dash. lol.
Question? does anyone know about the bluetooth on the Garmin. Is it hand free with my phone or do I need a helmet connection. I can dial out and receive calls on the Garmin and hear them on my speakers but cannot talk to anyone. Instruction in book does not say much about it.

Not sure on the Bluetooth, but i think you need the Bluetooth adapter.

I know you will enjoy that new ride, just remember that you don't need the high revs anymore.

Congratulations..!!

though a bit disappointed in that you did not take a picture for us..:roflblack: don't know about all the audio stuff on those just have our scala G9's that do it all...enjoy the new ryde and be safe...:2thumbs:

I'm not very familiar using the Garmin GPS as a hands-free but I do believe it should work, especially if, as you say, you can hear them.

Of course, trying to have a phone conversation thru the GPS while riding the Spyder would be problematic at best.

Much better to use a helmet-mounted headset, I use the Sena SMH10 which seem to be the crowd favorite.

:congrats: and :nopic: of your new 2015RTS-SE6 LTD!

I had a 2012RTS-SE5 then I upgraded to 2014RTS-SE6. You are going to like the 1330ACE engine! Ride safe! and let the farkling begin, and miles and smiles! Deanna

Congratulations on the 2015, it is a far superior machine and you will love it. I do believe that you will need a speaker setup in your helmet or no one will ever hear your side of the story. :roflblack:

Started snowing night I got the new spyder and has not stopped. We have about a foot now so will have to wait to ride some more. At least I live about 100 miles from dealer so got a decent ride home after purchase.

Congratulations! As I understand the Garmin and BRP instructions you are going to need a Bluetooth transmitter, SM10 or some such, and a headset, SMH10 or some such, to talk on your phone without having to speak directly into the phone -- at least that's what I learned and set up on my RT-S to use my phone while riding. I have not yet added a GPS because I am awaiting a Zumo 590 mount for my Tri-Aixs bars and they are allegedly on back order.
