• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bought my new Pearl White RT-S Spyder on Friday and I love it!! I traded in my "training" bike (a 2009 Honda Rebel 250) and haven't looked back. The dealership told me about this forum and I know I will learn a lot from everyone's ryding experiences.

I've already got a question. Can anyone confirm that the Spyder will vibrate when you reach speeds of 75 mph? I was surprised that mine was vibrating and would like to know if this is normal. It did it on Saturday and Sunday.

Look forward to reading all the posts!

:congrats: :welcome: Yes it is normal at that speed and has been said that it is belt vibration. Although the laser alignment helped mine and doesn't do it until 58-62 and then 83-84 for me.

Well, what took you so long??????????????

How about a picture of that new ride.

Welcome to the "More Smile Per Mile" club

Should not vibrate.

Has anyone given you a "Gremlin Bell" yet ??

IF NOT, i would be proud if you would allow me to send you one, or if you are going to Spyderfest i can deliver it personaly.

In Texas, we have a saying, "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could." It's the same for me and the Spyder ... I hadn't seen a Spyder until 3 weeks before I bought mine. So, I didn't start riding a Spyder, but I bought one as soon as I could. ;) Thanks for confirming that it shouldn't vibrate. I'll take it back to the dealer this week. I had the laser alignment done before I picked it up, so it shouldn't have anything to do with that.

Welcome..!! Welcome..!!

To the roadster world and this amazing site. You will have vibrarsions at certain speeds. Some are harmonic and some from the extreemly long belt. But they should stop above or below that speed. Congrats on the new ryde your going to love more every ryde...:ohyea:

Belts vibrate due to there long length and the cross wind here in Texas. A Smooth belt adjuster, basically a pulley in the middle of the belt, makes a big difference.
Smoothspyder, a sponser on the home page works good.

Welcome and congrats, check out North Texas Spyder Riders, we have a group leaving Tuesday morning heading to Spyderfest.
