• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Traded my '10 Timeless Black RT-S, SE-5 for a '14 Timeless Black RT-S SE-6. What a difference! It is such a pleasure to cruise at 45 - 50 MPH in 6th and still have plenty of power. 250 miles and loving it. I put 44,500 on the 10 and enjoyed the hell out of it too but they are two entirely different critters...

I didn't get the Garman 660. Does anyone know anything about the Tom Tom Motorcycle GPS?

:congrats: on the new ryde. Your report seems to be the general consensus. I also traded off a 2010 RTS for the 2014.

Congrats Don! Sorry, I don't know anything about the Tom Tom...have always used Garmin. Hopefully someone will chime in with some info on the Tom Tom for you.

:congrats: on your new ride, I also traded my 2012RTS-SE5 Quantum Metallic Blue (it had 8,000 miles) 3 weeks ago end of July, for a 14'RTS-SE6 in Cognac. The 14'RTS's are an awesome machine, and welcome to the 1330 Club. :nopic: of the 14'RTS-SE6? You are going to love it. Deanna777:ohyea:

P.S. The reason for small print is using Mozilla Fire fox as a search engine, sorry I will be using MSN as search engine when i am on this site.

I traded my '10 with 31,000 miles for the 14 also. Don't be upset when the new one eats the oem tire up in 5000 miles. The extra go-muscle is worth it. I also stepped up to the bajaron bar and elkas. 2-wheelers don't have a chance on the curves now.

I also moved from a 2010 Rt to a 2014 Rt. The smoothness of the 1330 with the ability to run at lower RPMs make a HUGH difference. Simply put, it's just more pleasurable to ride.

Congratulations..!!

I'm happy where I am but enjoy your new ryde..learn it's differences and be safe...:2thumbs::ohyea::ohyea:

Congrats on your new ryde! I did a similar thing, with a minor detour back to the two wheel world. I am very impressed with the new '14!

I opted to use my Garmin Montana on my RT - I remove it for most of my ryding, and it will run for 16 hours on a set of batteries. Someday, I'll hardwire the mount, but I would lose the flexibility I have, when I do.... ah well, decisions, decisions....

Have a safe and memorable journey

Hey, good for you. Sounds like you have traded up to a wonderful new friend!! ;-)

Enjoy your travels.
