There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Nelson Rigg Cl-850 vs 950

I wound up ordering these:
http://m.motorcycle-superstore.com/14/71/986/51376/ITEM/Cortech-Super-2-0-36-Liter-Saddlebags.aspx

went with these over the nelson Riggs because I wanted more store than the 950's but not the square look of the 850's. they seem like good bags. Will see how the work out on my trip.

Like them look pretty good, I like the top loading. And they look expandable with zipper if I'm not mistaken. Let us know!

I have the 950's They have an outer expandable pocket, Don't know about the 850's?

They are expandable. I like the way the look and mount. Going to try them out for a trip at the end o the week

Bags inside bags

I just got the CL850 I went with these because it was a bit bigger and looks. These are my first bags so can't compare with anything else I do like the compartment size and looks like plenty of room for a weekender. Looks nice on the Spyder.

The thing I don't get is they come with a handle and straps if needed but in order to take the saddle bag it requires complete disassembly from the bike, after taking a while to get it just right on the bike I don't want to take them off just for a night.

I will have to find a nice pouch to put clothes and such in and then place that in the bag for easy grab and carry to say a motel stay or whatever.

Hope that and pics help, also I agree straps under the seat. I plan on a passenger seat bag that will tie it all together I may try the straps on the seat then and bag over it.

Suggest you go to ebags.com and look at their "packing cubes". They are light weight, well made, and have handles. They will fit in the 850 or 950 bags and make unloading and packing a breeze.

Hi All,

Does the 850 allow for a passenger to sit on the back?
I needed a bag that has ample room and can also have a passenger on the back also. I like the look of the 950's more, but i think even with the expandable sides, the 850 look to be able to carry more luggage.

Also i think it is worth asking, are there 950 owners who can also reconfirm that they are able to accommodate a passenger?

Thanks
Fas

I had the 950's on my Ex Spyder [Gs08] never rode with a passenger, It can be done but it will be a tight fit, Someone did post that they had no problems with the 950 and a passenger.:dontknow: [still have the bags]
