• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Negative review on the Spyder

Scanning this writer's other articles, this seems to be the type or style he tends to write in. People love negative the was misery loves company and it's good for click-through rates so the advertisers will pay.

I actually read this review just before I bought my Spyder. It did put some doubt in my mind but the good folks on this forum eased it enough for me to proceed with the purchase. I haven't looked back since.

When you put over 5k on the Spyder then you can write a honest review.

Unfortunately this is another example of some "blogger" trying to compare a motorcyle to a machine that handles more like a quad. You can see from the review that he/she has no idea how to counter-weight his or her body to take turns at speed on the machine. How can you write an honest review without understanding how to ride the vehicle correctly. Poor.

...as for 100mph+ that was day (1) easy.
To be honest 100+ on my Spyder felt safer than my 2004 Acura TL.

Then again..
I didn't sit straight-up like the ass-clown "blogger" person catching cross-winds when traveling at speed. I instead got down low to match the air flow over the vehicle. Once again.. Blogger doesn't equal "vehicle test driver"

Above 100MPH is comfortable when you as a rider are comfortable with the machine.

To quote the last line from Harley's statement on their 105th:

"fear sucks and it doesn't last long, so screw it, let's ride"

Spyder makes 2-wheeler ride safer

My husband (Yamaha 1300) and I (RSS) have bike to bike communications and discovered shortly after I went to 3 wheels that our former riding position of him in front was now backwards. Now, on unfamiliar roads, I ride in front as I can go through so much more gravel, sand, water, etc. without difficulty and can alert him to dangers on the road.

good points...I commented on that forum..can't stand misinformation...

Opinions are like butts, everyone has one. Seems like everything I have ever driven or rode, someone has said it was a bad ride. I love the way my Spyder handles and performs. Toys R Us has a tricycle that needs tested, maybe this moron needs to start there! IMHO.

Relax people, life is to short to live agravated, lets just ride:doorag:

Agreed...but putting out misinformation is unnecessary. It only takes a few of us to set the record straight. If we are to promote the spyder to others, we should be willing to make a statement when others inaccurately talk about our ride! I'm not aggravated, just more interested in getting the right information out there...

Im planning a 6,000 mile trip, wonder if that guy wants to ride with me, it may change his point of view:D

Invite him and tell him the ride on the back seat is far more comfortable and then all he has to worry about is hanging on...since the Spyder is sooooooooo hard to control, best leave it to the pros!!

:D

Wow, very unprofessional! The comments were my favorite - it's interesting to read how folks minds work......:yikes:
