• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need travel cover recommendations

I want to buy a travel cover for my RT-S, but can't spend as much as the BRP one costs. So I'm considering one of these 3:

Nelson-Rigg, nylon with a soft backing:

Champion, polyester, with soft backing in the windshield area:

another polyester one with a soft windshield backing:
http://www.amazon.com/Can-Am-Spyder-RT-Half-cover/dp/B008SFF67Q/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_3

My inclination is to save a buck, but maybe y'all have some experience with these. I'd appreciate your input. Thx.

BIKE COVER

[HI, I have the NELSON RIGG cover, I love it, and I have had it 2yrs now, use it at work, very easy to put on, only draw back was the fabric has faded quite a bit. I think it was around $80.00 bucks.

I have the full cover from Nelson-Rigg (not the travel one) and the quality is very good. I would trust the company for the travel cover.

...Ben...

What I know..!!

Have always had good results with the nelson riggs...sorry they don't make the half cover with allowance for extended mirrors..

:2thumbs: Glad to hear it!
From my own personal experience; if you want to save money, just scrimp on the stuff that doesn't really matter. For the important stuff; do top shelf and you're rarely disappointed...

I have the BRP full cover (still in the box!) but got the Nelson Rigg half cover. I love it and use it when I park overnight somewhere other than my garage, if there's rain or at the mall to keep the spectators off.

What happens to the antenna(s) with these covers? Are there slots or holes for them?

Yep! There are two antenna spots you can sort of see the left one. They're "holes" with two velcro tabs. I put the antenna through first then bring the cover over the front of the spyder.

Good question. :dontknow: I was going to wait till I get one to find out. However, the 3rd one I linked to said there's a Velcro closing around the antennae.

UPDATE: Contacted Nelson Rigg and there is velco on each side for the antenna(s).

Curious too as antenna is shown on thier site but it's not very helpful.
