• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need to make changes

I believe I know the temporary fix for my F3 disease. I need to get my RS into a more upright riding position for longer rides. I'm good for short jaunts in the forward leaning position but after an hour or so, it gets rough on my neck and shoulders.

I'm thinking highway pegs and 4" risers? I'll get an F3 eventually but my car payment has to go away first. :banghead:

Am I on the right path?

ISSUES

Check vendors for ESI or Easy risers 4inch in brushed alumin or same in blk ...$ 129.00 also Value accessories for them.......I wouldn't pay any more......DO NOT GET THE ONE FROM BRP.....it will not do what you want ( been there done that )......and there are a number of options for highway pegs .....again check vendors......Mike :bbq:.......PS I have the only GAS DOOR that will work on the GS / RS / ST type seat

That's what I did. It makes all the difference in the world. 2 trips to CA and back to East Tennessee attest to that.

4" high risers will definitely help. That was one of my complaints on my early RS. It killed my back to be in the crotch rocket crouch position.

Yes you are....

On the right track that is. You can get her setup and have a whole new ryde. Our vendors will help you out with all your needs...:2thumbs:

Need a set of these Brent
Will get your legs straight

So does the installation of the easy risers impede the usefulness of the mirrors. The picture below makes it look like you wouldn't be able to see them.

Hi lbrty9,

Re: So does the installation of the easy risers impede the usefulness of the mirrors.

I have a 2008 GS and I can see just fine without mirror extensions; I have the 4 1/2" risers. A lot of the locals always seem to ask me why I don't have the extns.

I am 6 ft tall and can see OK; the extns would let me see a little more but I am not planning on making any changes.

I am not so sure of the usefullness of that photo to make a decision.

Hi lbrty9,

Re: Thank you! Any chance you could post up a picture of yours?

I could; but as I said before: I am not so sure of the usefullness of that photo to make a decision.

If you want a photo from some different view, just let me know & I'll try to help.

Yes, Sir, that's exactly what I'm asking for.

I hope that these help. They could be better photos but my digital camera is just a cheapy.

But, as you can see, about 1/2 of the mirror(s) is available for viewing what is behind.

These were taken by holding the camera right in front of my face.

The invoice will be attached to a PM; look for it.;)

PS) I am 6 ft tall.
