• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need Some Help on Mounting a Box to Where the Idiot Card is Located

I want to mount a box to the shelf so that I can put a DSLR camera in while I am moving, so that I don't have to keep getting off the bike and retrieving it from the trunk.

I was thinking a plastic box with foam in it to keep the camera from moving around. I figure some Velcro straps to keep it still. Might want to have the ability to carry 2 cameras.

Some kind of holster might work as well.

Mounting can be anywhere, just figured shelf was convenient.

So what creative ideas do we have out there.

This was sprung by a new trip I am planning and need to have the camera readily accessible. Picture of the camera for sizing.

Here's what I would do...

JT"s Machine shop (sponsor on the home page) has a bar that bolts on the dash for acc...get some ram mount balls and attach them to the camera tripod point and mount them there. You would only have to loosen the wing nut and walla!!...:roflblack:

What id you took one of JT's mounts, and hooked the camera to it?

Kind of like my Go-Pro setup: only better!

Gene, you're a faster typist than me!:bowdown:

On an RS rather an RT but I removed the safety card and used the grove to mount strip of aluminum with a slight curve and then a bend to make a flat mount for Radar mount. You could do something similar and then add a box, bag or mount for your camera.

What----you mean you don't read the "safety" card each and every time you ride? Shame on you!
:joke:
