• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello.

Recently I posted about the lifting points on a 2015 RT Ltd.
Tonight I tried lifting the 2015 RT Ltd with my ATV jack (1500LBS capacity). I placed the jack just in front of the catalytic converter and when I started lifting the Spyder, I notice the front end is lifting much higher on one side compared to the other side. So I than moved the jack to the opposite side of the Spyder and lifted the Spyder. Same results one front side was lifting much higher than the other side. This making the Spyder unsecure/unstable. I'm lifting on the frame that is about 4" wide.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?? OR is this normal?

On a side note I did the same on my 2012 RTS when I owned it and I did not have this issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would say more or less normal. Front will also lift higher than the rear. Yes, it is a bit unstable but OK unless you're going to be working under it. Then I would put it on blocks or jack stands.

Normal....

Because the atv lift does not lift straight up and rather from side to center you will notice one side is lower till you get perpendicular. You may also notice the rear comes up later as well.

Thanks for your replies.
As an example the left front tire maybe raised about 7" off floor while the right front may only be about 1" off the floor. Is this normal ?

Thank you

My 2011 and craftsman lift does the same thing. I'm not concerned. It is only on the lift as a means to get it on stands before any work. I'll NEVER trust a jack enough to work under the load.

It sure sounds as if you're picking the bike at an uneven point...
Can you assess what's under there, and try building a wooden cradle that'll conform to the bike? :dontknow:
