There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Need some advice about a suitable cover sturdy enough to protect my Spyder if left outside for several months?

Due to some garage issues, I may have to leave my 2021 RT outside for the winter months. I can still run an extension cord out of the garage for the Battery Tender, but the cover I now have for the Spyder is a lightweight vinyl type cover, which seemed fine for indoor storage. I'm hoping that some folks here can recommend to me a suitable cover that is sturdy enough to offer weather protection for several months outside here in the Midwest. I would have considered buying a storage shed, but local code prohibits me from setting up a shed in front or on the side of my house, and there is no way to get into my backyard with the Spyder. I'm not concerned with cost for the right cover. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

If you do not ride in winter months there, maybe you should consider paying to store it at an indoor storage storage place. Find a friend with indoor space or a private party garage. Some dealers will show store inside for a fee.

Can you make a attached addition on the side of your garage big enough for say like your bike and yard gear?? A flapping cover will scuff the finish on your bike I believe!! Not to mention that it will make a great home for all the bad things that need a home.

What about one of those tent covers that you drive into and then pull down and secure. Can't remember the name and can't find a link right now. They're made out of heavy canvas and resemble a miniature quanset hut.

City code here prevents me from constructing a shed or such on the side of my garage. If I wanted to add a bricked extension to my garage I probably could get a permit for that, but the cost would be huge. I am looking into getting a storage unit, but so far have found that many of these units do not have electricity, and some that have electricity do not allow for something continuously plugged in like a Battery Tender. I have not asked the dealership where I bought the Spyder if they have a way to store the bike, but even if they did, it is located further from my home than I would like and of course the access that I would have, in case we have an unexpected warm day good for a ride, would be very limited. The "mini quonset hut" idea sounds interesting, and I would love to know where to find such a thing.

Put it the storage unit and take the battery home with you, then you could put the tender on and off as you want!
