Need Report on Ultimate seat for RT

The only visible difference unless you set it side by side with the original is the Ultimate seat does not have the sewed patch under the glove box (no stitching). This is good because a number of the stock seats have separation at that point. Other than the lumbar support is 2" further back it is just like the standard seat.

One other thing ... if you have a Utopia backrest it uses a different bracket on the bottom of the seat pan.

Seat is pricey but much more comfortable for me, at least.

Yes, a locking metal one. Personally I like the looks of the Corbin fuel flap better.

Also, I wish that Ultimate would offer a heated seat as an option. They said if there is enough demand, they might consider it.

I ordered the new RT ultimate seat. Had one in my RS and love what Dez has done with them. Will have it in a few weeks and can't wait. Best seat on the market IMO

to bad you didnt come down to spyderfest they had a vender booth with all their seats to sit on and try to see what you like or not they also give a 10 day money back guarentee on the seats if you dont like it in 10 days return it

i sat on one if i had the funds i would be riding it home tomarrow morning

Sorry about the confusion on my part ... my review was for the CANAM comfort seat, not the Ultimate seat.

I spent many a conversation with Des/Dez (not sure how he spells it) discussing his upcoming design for the Ultimate RT/RTS seat. An approximation of cost is what follows:

Standard seat is roughly $950 and that includes a Utopia type back rest for the driver (you can choose beatween chrome or black powder coat gas door and trim ring)
Added colored materail EX. Black seat w/ red vinyl striping and accenting is $100 extra.
Remember, this is a rough number, as your custom seat may vary in design and cost. Contact them for more accurrate info.

Dez is working on the passenger back rest design. His plan is to remove about an inch of material so that there is more room for the passenger. That is still a few months away from final production. He is also in the process of designing the arm rests that will be optional. Currently, it will resemble the Corbin arm rests. They will angle out from the passenger's seating position.

We really liked the feel of the Ultimate Seat and after talking with him and his wife we are going to be purchasing the whole shebang once it's in production. They are great folks!
