• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need recommended waterproof gloves...

What?!!!! The four letter "S" word? Already? Say it ain't so, Scotty!:yikes:
You wouldn't want me to lie. They are even talking possible accumulation, which would make it the earliest recorded measurable snowfall.

"S" forecast here Sat. evening. WAY too early. No summer, early winter, NO FAIR.

---leo---
Can't argue with that assessment, Father, no fair at all!

I've found the gloves for riding in the rain is. The rubber gloves used for chemicals. They are heavy duty rubber. you can get them big enough to wear a light pair of leather gloves inside. if you want. It doesn't get cold enough in Florida to wear leather inside. I get mine from Harbor Fright only a couple of bucks. I haven't found a pair leather gloves to stay dry even when covered with the rain mittens the comes with the winter gauntlets. They come in all shades of shiny black:roflblack::roflblack: they go half way to your elbow. I stayed dry all the way from Gatlinburg, Tenn. to I-95 in S.C. coming home.

I phoned BRP and talked with the "head honcho" about my rain soaked gloves. I asked if they could have thier engineers design an Auto-Pilot system for the Spyder. This way when it rains, all I have to do is hit a button and then place my hands into my pockets!!!!! He thought it was a great idea to go along with the VSS system.

All kidding aside, I've just decided to go with surgeon type rubber gloves as suggested by some of you.

Geez....just think if one of us could invent a truly waterproof glove, we could become millionaires just by selling them on TV at only $19.95 :D

John (in the soon to be cold frozen Icelandic Tundra in Tennessee)

Sell them on an infomercial and call them the 'glove-wow' !:joke:

I have a set of joe rocket waterproofs that I bought for gauntlet gloves because I sold my set I was using to a new rider, I bought them off of motorcyclesuperstore.com, they are warmer than my cold weather gloves, have the "windshield wiper" on both gloves and work AWSOME, they have an inside liner you have to make sure to pull your fingers out and keep the liner in but the were only 54 bucks and worth it. I have a set of blue 3 finger insulated blue aerostitch glove I got right from them, (their place is 145 miles away and a outstanding place to go and see, old warehouse on the shady edge of duluth well worth the trip, ran by people that really care about riding) I have only put about 1000 miles on the gloves so i can't tell you about how they hold up but for the 3 weeks I Have had them

Rain-Off Overgloves

I bought a set of Rain-Off Overgloves from FarckleMasters.com
I get to use my regular gloves and just throw the three-fingered crab overgloves on....can take some effort getting the second glove on but they sure work....just my $0.02

On the Pacific Wet Coast gotta have good rain gear....even the snow on Vancouver Island is wet.

Cheers

:D

I'm getting ready to try some of the weather proof gloves from here:

http://www.duluthtrading.com/

Seems like they are half the cost seeing as they are "motorcycle" gloves. I'll lose some of the palm and knuckle protection, but if they stay dry, so be it.
