• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NEED OPINIONS

I have a 2011 RT limited, 20,000 miles all service done, just took it in for rear brakes, got a call from the dealership stating my water pump and head gaskets are both leaking, this seems crazy with this kind of milage, does this mean at 40,000 I will have to do it again. Has anyone else had this.:yikes:

2nd opinion

If you hadn't noticed anything, might be well worth getting a "second opinion" unless of course you're not paying for the repairs lol

Thanks, looking to see if anyone else has had this or knows of anyone, I intend on bending the ear of the factory rep.

Hard to say..!!

we have seen these kind of leaks but don't remember both at the same time at 20,000 miles. If you have not noticed puddles of oil and coolant I would have a look. Have them show you the leakage and or get another opinion. :dontknow:

Have heard of many water pump leakage failures. In fact it was quite common for a while. My 2011 is not doing this luckily.
You can still ride it with this leaking just check coolant levels.

As for the head gasket, I would get a second opinion and have them show you that. My bet is in actuality it is really only the water pump leaking.

I have ridden three RTL s well past 20,000 miles now 2010actually RTS, 2012 and 2014 without any mechanical problems whatsoever so I really subscribe to the second opinion recommendation.....
