• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need New Spyder Tires

Does anyone have info, specs of the Arachnid Tires. I have heard good things about them. Are there any other after market choices for an aggressive tread tire for the Spyders?

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this tire. I've heard nothing but bad comments about this tire. This tire is comparable to the OEM Kendra tire. If your looking for good wearing & handling tires there are many car tires that can be bought.

FRONT/READ

FRONT - HANKOOK Ventus V4ES 175/55R 15
REAR - MICHELON Hydro-Edge 215/60R 15

can't go wrong with this combination.....
like others say, 'car tires are far better in every way'....
just our experience with OEM's vs. CAR TIRES...
which ever way you go, go safely....

I wouldn't run them too many good car tires available, but here you go. http://www.spydercomfort.com/tires.htm

I found it humorous that the article quoted by this tire dealer about using car tires on motorcycles was so far off base. They are trying to justify using only motorcycle tires on our 3 wheel spyders while citing problems using car tires on 2 wheel motorcycles. To follow that "logic" my friends with triked goldwings should only be running rear motorcycle tires on their trikes.....absurd. Poor attempt and a bunch of "smoke and mirrors" trying to justify using their product. I'll stick with my better quality tires

I may be looking at the vredstein quatrac 5 in 175x55R15 for front & 225x50R15 kumho ast ku25 on the rear.
I think i will need tires in may. what i like about the vredstein is they are supposed to have excellent traction
in the wet and if i have the balls they can handle the snow too.

i've burnt thru 4 KUMHO AST's.... a really good tire, but not as good as my current Michelon.... the Mich Hydro-Edge is getting hard to find, but if you can find one, i would HIGHLY RECOMMEND buy'n it.....
