• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need mount options for my GPS on my 08 GS Spyder

Hey everyone, I'm installing 3.5" risers tomorrow and I'm also looking for options to mount my GPS. Handlebars? just in front near the safety pullout? and per your recommendations....What type of mount should I buy??? I think that is my biggest concern as well.

I see so many cool setups by you all, so I knew I would get some great advice on this.
Thanks so much

Most people use Ram products to mount their stuff. I mounted my GPS on my 08 on the inside of one of the risers you are putting on. I attached a 1" ball with an arm on it to attach to the back of the GPS holder. My 08 is not here right now so I can't take a picture for you but I will post the the part nos. if you like. Google Ram products and you will get lots of ideas. Several have put their mount on the dash above the safety card as you indicated.

There are RAM mounts for handlebars, master cylinders, studs/bolts, flange mounts, and almost any other combination you can think of. GPSCity.com is a good source. I have mounted on Nancy's riser handlebars, but didn't like the offset and low position. Hers is now mounted on her aftermarket windshield adjuster. Some owners have drilled the dash and mounted above (through) the safety card. There should be several old threads on the subject.

For your dash mount option this is what I did on my '09 GS. I just used a beam clamp to hold the standard ram ball from the GPS suction cup mount. Not fancy but worked great and placed the GPS up where I could see it.
