• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gooooooood Afternoon Can-Am Spyder Riders!!

I am proposing a Track Idea to the Bank..

This is a all around Motorsports Park... and what better then start a awesome Can-Am circuit!

I need to gauge interest from the Can-Am community on if they would meet up and have a yearly track event? Possibly more, if turn out is good..

It will be located on the west Coast ( Apple Valley, Ca ' High Desert ' ).

We really need your support and Input!!

Please comment and let me know..

Also please like us on Facebook..

Thankyou !!!

I would attend such an event if it were more centrally located. CA isn't that convenient to many of us......

I hate to say it but the Spyder in it's current configuration would be pretty boring to watch race. I see your site is a drifting site and that's not going to happen with the Spyder. Maybe if and when we get a leaning Spyder it might be worth watching but I rather watch School Buses in a figure 8 than a Spyder on a drift track that can't drift.
nojoke

The Track is not just setup for Drift. Drift Teams are just more outspoken then alot of the other Racing Teams.

It's a multi-purpose Track.

Wasn't planning on Drifting the Can-Am.. What I was planning on was a 4 or 5 lap Circuit. I also wrote BRP ( even though responses from them take forever ), about looking into the options of a race ready or supply parts for a track style Can-Am...

I thought it would be fun to play around with your Can-Am, Safely ofcourse.

I rode my spyder around NJ motorsports park earlier this year at lunch time during a track day event so just myself and a good friend who was the main attraction at the event was on the track at one time and he was on a two wheeled bike. It was a lot of fun but I would think if you put a bunch of guys with spyders on the track it could be a little dangerous with the testosterone flowing. They are still very much an open wheeled vehicle that takes up a lot of track space compared to a typical motorcycle.

Personally i'm glad I had the chance to try it but wouldn't go out of my way or spend a lot of money to do it again.... just my $.02

I've actually seen School Buses race a figure 8 at a local track-- AND they allowed people to ride in the buses during the 'race'..... ;-)

Spyder racing would be best with rear vss disabled and on a DIRT track----- ;-) Now that could be fun..... but I suppose only Huligans would participate.... lol

Well I wouldn't consider myself a Huligan, Just a racing enthusiast.

But I could see your point.

Admin or Moderator, May I please have this thread closed.
I can clearly see where this is going.

I think the racing would be great, if it was racing 5 lap sprints, the lead would change like crazy because if you were in front and you hit the corner wrong the Nanny would slow you down and the guys behind would get by so it would be all bunched up and constantly changing, plus contact between would not result(not all the time just generally) in a crash.

Let er buck.
