• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need Input - Lost Gas Cap

At least you weren't one of those people that drive off with the gas pump handle still in the tank nozzle.

Who among us hasn't suffered this fate at least once?? Just to be on the safe side, I'd order a new cap from the dealer, but your replacement is probably fine...

(I always throw my cap under the lifted seat on all of the plastic that's there so that I have to put it back in place in order to climb back aboard...)
I also throw mine under the seat BUT guess what, you can close the seat with it there if it's not on the center frame. I know because I did the same thing. Stopped, filled up and got into a conversation with someone about the Spyder and drove off without putting it back on. Went down the road and at the first sharp right hand turn, smelled gas. Right away, I knew what was wrong and as luck would have it, stopped, lifted the seat and the gas cap was right where I placed it. Now that's lucky.

You just HAD to say that didn't ya? :roflblack: Oh well, since this happened now I do a mental check list before re-mounting to pull away. Pretty simple really; cap on tank, check; seat down and locked, check; gloves on and secure, check; helmet strapped, check; head in helmet, CHECK!! :roflblack:

:agree: My check list has also been expanded... Of course now I went and left the Missus in the store the last time I filled up...
