Interesting, i will give it a try, thanks for the info!I am running the General Altimax RT 43 , 215/60 R15 @ 26 PSI as a rear tire on a 2014 RTS-SE6. I have 10,660 miles, ( changed the original Kenda tire at 5,824 miles). I have 4,836 miles the General Altimax RT 43.
This is the 2nd riding season with the above tire. It handles excellent on dry, wet, gravel, dirt, roads. Deanna
The OEM size is 225/50-15.
It's about as common as dirt...
Try looking for a Kumho Ecsta in that size.
Another useful size is:
215/60-16
General's Altimax is very popular for our Spyders in this size.
Would not recommend a 16" tire Bob.
Jack
can you even put a 16" tire on a 15" rim?
I went to my local tire place and asked for a tire the same size of the one i have and they almost laughed at me, they said that is a very rare tire, what other choices do i have? i tried the serch but nothing came up, what are you guys using?
Thanks!!!
I knew it was a typo, just waiting for you mean guys to start the fun :clap:Would not recommend a 16" tire Bob.

I think Bob's 16" rim was a typo.
Mexican, I'm running a Yokohama s.Drive tire, 205/55R15. The tire guy who installed it said it fit the Spyder rim better than the OEM tire. It's the same diameter and circumference, but just slightly wider. There are LOTS of choices. As Chupaca said, just search this forum for tire threads.
