• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need help

My hands also go numb...
I put a Cramp-Buster on the left grip so that I could open up my paw, and relax it a bit.
It works pretty well! :D

:agree: so +1 on the Crampbuster, & add another +1 on the 'relax your grip' as well!

Buuut, if you already ride with a relaxed grip, often move your fingers around a little on the grips to minimise cramps & numbness etc, or have any of the 'bigger grips' or Crampbuster style aids already & yet still get numb fingers, then like IGETAROUND mentioned, it's definitely time to seek medical advice!! nojoke

Beyond the overly tight grasp, thin grips etc causes, there are a few medical conditions (as I believe Bob can attest) that can cause this sort of symptom & altho some are relatively minor & generally readily treatable, all are made worse by ignoring them & not getting treatment soon enough! And for all of them, allowing the symptoms to develop too far can lead to permanent loss of some facility with your hands or worse! I had a friend who ignored this numbness/pins & needles type issue in her hands for far too long & didn't seek treatment until she'd effectively lost all use of her hands - by that time the 'disease' that was behind all this was waaayyy too advanced for the medics to do anything but try & alleviate some of the increasing pain she felt until it took her life!

So please, don't ignore things like this; try the bigger grips/crampbusters & relaxing your grip etc, but if that doesn't produce results/alleviate the numbness, then get it checked out ASAP!! :lecturef_smilie:

The foam grip helps and are conformable. But I discovered that the root cause for my numbness was the gloves. I wear the half glove, and what I did was cut the thumb portion off, was blocking cerculation.

Was getting tired of wearing gloves and I put Spyderpops on before our trip to Deadwood and they are really comfortable!! Plus if you're running with cruise control you can relax your grip.

Foam grip sleeves are great, but every Crampbuster I had stretched to the point it had to be replaced. I use a Throttle Jockey, it has a velcro strap, so it stays in place.
