• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need help!

I just spoke with RCDurango (through Kentucky Guy). I've stopped for the night in Knoxville and I have a trailer to tow him if necessary but I don't have a book here with the codes. Hoping for an answer and I'll buzz him back.

Thanks to all.

code P2530...

This is the Code Desc from my 2010 Shop Manual... "Ignition Key Switch connection or internal switch fault",
The recommended fix: "Check key contacts & wires...
but there is likely a more common sense solution, and hopefully someone who has dealt with this can help...

Good luck... sorry to hear about your problems and hope an easy fix turns up...

Were you riding through a lot of water, or rain ?

Thanks everyone for pitching in with help on this. Very strange that his ignition would start giving him trouble mid trip. I'd be interested in 'The Rest of the Story' on this one.

Limp Mode temp fixes... if it helps

Recently ran across some methods for clearing a limp mode (I don't know if you are in limp mode or just 'broke down'). Worked for an error code Melinda had recently.
Try switching the key on and off three or four times semi-rapidly. This sometimes reboots the computer.
Also if you can get it started at all, revving the engine to 4500 rpms for about 20-30 seconds will sometimes clear a limp mode.
I don't know if this will help you at all, but it saved us a long slow ride to the service depot.

Was able to start it and rode half mile before it stalled again. Started it up again and got to hotel safely. It is starting now but not sure that I trust it enough to get back out on hwy again. Going to sleep on it over night and see how I feel Sunday. Thank you SL family for your help. Wow! That's all Judy and I can say.

Thinking of you and wishing you good luck with resolving the :f_spider: Problem.:pray::pray:
