• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need help with Tricfenderz

Kratos

Ultimate Spyderlover
I have no idea what to do here. Am I supposed to cut off most of this wire? Seems like it, because if I try to hook it up like it is, it comes on without the bike being on. Also, how am I supposed to get the wires to sit tight in these pink connectors? No matter what I do, they just stay loose. I wish I could use regular posi-taps, because they are much easier to get a tight fit on the connection.

You have to crimp the wires into the spades. The spades then slide right into the the other pieces that you have attached to the wire coming off the fender tips (I forgot what those are called, but they are the purple-ish connectors. If you get stuck, call Reggy at TricLed. He's awesome!! Good luck!

Reggi is VERY responsive to our needs, I concur. I recently had a problem with the LED flag, some of the lights didn't respond ... it happens, and he sent out another. I suggested the POSITABS in the future like Matt uses on KewlMetal with Run-Brake-Turn etc. I hate crimping into spade connectors, especially with the small gauge wire. So when the replacement flag came in, it had the positabs. We are fortunate to have men like Matt and Reggi pay attention to customer needs. It was not too long ago that there was a guy selling windshields to us. Interesting design, poor materials, and very poor customer service. Result: bye-bye.

"Arr" has installed a lot of Reggy's stuff on his RT... If you PM him, I'm pretty sure that he could also get you back on track...
Good Luck! We want to see the results!

Krimp the pink ends as you put them on, when you do this to the wires in his suggested locations in the directions they should power on when the bike key is turned.

I think I cut off my extra wire (left small amount of slack), but I know I tested them extensively first.

You still have the battery attached at the end of the wires, it was used to demo the lights.

Cut that off and then strip the wires, crimp on the spades and connect it to the Spyder,

Retarded question here......how do I "crimp" the wires?

Edit.....nevermind.....Reggy just called me and broke it down to me in monkey terms. LOL

LOL....I kind of figured that needed to come off. That's why the lights came on without me turning the bike on. LOL :banghead:

I just slide the wire in and use a pliers to smash it. Takes quit a bit a pressure so the wire is tight.

They are not my favorite type of connectors, I usually solder the wire on.
