• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need help with lights

Hi
I am checking with all you folks who are way smarter than I am when it comes to the
electrical stuff on the Spyder.
I want to put LED type tail lights & brake lights on the back of my Spyder it's a
2008 GS. Is there any reason that I can not just splice into the tail and brake light
wires and hook up the LED type lights that way, or is there a problem with mixing them
with the lights already there.
I have seen posts of people having trouble with doing what I want to do.
the reason I want more lights is I don't feel the factory put enough lighting on the
rear of this model Spyder.
Thanks
Dave :)

You can use old brake light wire. Make sure the positive (+) to (+) and negative (-) to (-) led lights are polarity sensitive. good luck.

You should be able to add LED lights, but you cannot replace the existing brake lights with LEDs (without load compensators). Nanny won't like it.
