• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need Help! Desperate! Embarrassed!

After three days was just told the hydraulic control module was not getting oil pressure! What now?
First thing they should do is change the transmission filter. There was one other report of a collapsed/plugged tranny filter.

Dealer says Transmission filter is OK. Trying to figure where next!
Could be a stuck shuttle valve in the hydraulic module, a bad shift solenoid, or a combination of things. There are plenty of tests in the shop manual, and BRP tech support should be able to help. Sorry you got stuck on the short end of this one, but such problems are very unusual, and should be able to be resolved completely...although maybe not quickly. Keep the faith!

Shop Closed Today

Thanks for the additional ideas. Will follow up with the shop tomorrow. Left them alone Saturday. I can't say enough how I appreciate your interest!

nice color choice, congrats

sidAras,

it will be interesting as to what they discover, please let us all know. How many miles are on the bike, you
said it was a year old, If you put the first 125 miles on then it could be something missed in the PDI or like
others have said the updates.

It will get resolved and you will have many enjoyable miles to add!

WOW, I made the right color choice....It will match my red truck...but not my Wing....okay, I will paint the Wing...ha ha

FINAL ANSWER

Thanks, to you all, particularly Carlo! I received I call from the shop this afternoon and they informed me that they had found the problem and they are replacing the complete hydraulic control unit. Another week to 10 days and I wil have a Spyder again.

Three Weeks Back to Start

Today it has bee three weeks since my Spyder SE5 developed problems. I just returned from the shop and they informed me they had replaced the entire hydraulic control module to no avail. They have been talking with the factory, and everyone is at a standstill.

Anyone got a wild idea?

To all who offered encouragement and advice

Well, I finally picked ARAGOG up from the repair shop today and it is running great!

For those that asked to be informed of the problem,

The main problem was the valve solenoid.

The following parts were replaced:

Oil filter
TCM module
Valve solenoid
Solenoid valve gasket
Gasket ring
Formed hose
Protector tube
Oetiker clamp
Various grommets & tie raps

Even though it was below freezing in central Texas, if felt good to drive it home!

Thanks again, for all your support!
