• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need boot suggestions

I bought a pair of red wing harness boots in 1978. They've been resoled several times. I polish them with scuff guard. I wear them while ryding. Went down once. Hard. No injuries to feet.

yes, they really are almost 40 years old.

You have me beat by double.:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown: :firstplace::firstplace:

I am still wearing my Hein Geirke jacket that I got in 1978. It is still like new and fits great.

Danner Striker II 8" boots....lightweight, waterproof, breathable, comfortable. The downside is that they are not cheap.
Wow, I REALLY do like the looks of the Danner Striker Line. Lots of choices there, too. They're waterproof (Gortex lined), look really comfortable, and the inside soles look just right for gripping the Spyder brake pedal. The zipper option would make them easy and quick to take on and off - get them adjusted the way they are most comfortable and leave 'em tied. And they come in 2E for my wide feet! I've been reading all of these "boot threads" on Spyderlovers, trying to get some ideas for myself. Think I'll order a pair of these. Thanks.

Love my SIDI boots! Expensive yes. Butt, they are rebuild able, Goretex, and made for motorcycles. Lots of built in protection. Tom :spyder:
