Need Assistance---2015 RT-Limited

Hello:

Can anyone tell me what the "Inventory" should be on the BRP Tool kit that is under the seat of an RT-Lmited 2015?

I had taken our new 2015 RT-Lmited to the shop today to get the final "modification" parts put on for the ISCI handbrake. When we got it home and off loaded it off our trailer, went over a few bumps heard a weird rattle off the right side.

Got out the BRP Tool kit from under the seat was shocked to find NO Tool to take off the shiny Screws that are on the panels. I have read here where those might be "Secruity" screws but not sure. I don't even have a digital tire gauge like I had on my 2012 Tool Kit from BRP.

Anyway--maybe I am ignorant but the shiny fasteners scattered along the body panels---don't look quite like torx compared to the black ones in which I have a tool for that.

Thus our question!

Anyway- may have to make another 2.5 hour trip to the dealer to find out what is the rattle. Maybe it is as simple as the modification part for the ISCI handbrake is rubbing on a side panel. Sound is coming near the Right Side saddle bag. I know they said the mechanic had to still do some finagling to get things to fit properly so will see.

We are heading to Spyderfest on Tuesday the 26th so am hoping to be able to get to a mechanic prior to the large influx of Spyderfest goers. ;) Otherwise instead of getting our truck serviced next weekend I may run down to that region again I guess.

Always something isn't it?

Thank you for any insight!

;)

Agree...

:agree: and they no longer supply the tire guage...:banghead: not that it was great or anything...

This is a photo of the tools supplied with a 2015 RTL in a cheap vinyl case.

Do not try to remove the two shiny screws on each side of the Spyder, when you get to Spyderfest we can explain better.

^^ Wot'e says about those shiny screws....

Basically, it boils down to this - if you don't have a tool to fit whatever screw/fitting in your BRP supplied tool kit, then you shouldn't be trying to take it off!!

Joe I see you got a cloth that is not on the parts fiche. How did you get this valuable piece of swag?

THANK YOU to everyone---

Thank you to everyone----

You have really helped calm my nerves down tonight. I have been quite frustrated by today's events but you have alleviated a Blood Pressure rise even higher by letting us know that those shiny screws are not meant to be removed and that the BRP Supplied toolkit is complete and that the tire gauge (Cheap as it was) is no longer supplied.

So- now I got to figure out what to do about the new noise heard when we got back home after today's trip to the shop. I am sure it is not serious but just frustrating.

So-just pondering if the mechanic at Spyderfest if we get there Tuesday afternoon BEFORE the official start will get us in and hopefully solve the rattle issues, or if I should plan a trip down this next weekend 4-23-16 or hold off until the 26th.

Think I am done stressing for tonight---off to slumberland. Gotta love having some OCD issues---Sigh!

Thank you all again!

;)

Those two shiny screws hold plastic stubs with nubbins on them that slip into rubber grommets.

 Are you feeling any better about all of this yet? :dontknow:

Joe,
You must know the same "People" that I do! :D

NOT that they'll ever admit it!!

Have you opened the side saddle bags to make sure the dealer didn't put some misc items in there and that is the rattle you hear? Trying to eliminate things. When do you hear the rattle, when you hit a bump in the road or what?

Yes, we sure did. We wiggled the right saddle bag "Lid" and the hinge seemed loose but we got the tool kit out and tighten everything which was NOT loose anyway. That is where we wondered about the silver shiny fasteners cause they seemed "loose" to us. The saddle bag is empty and all is tight. This new bike only has 78 miles on it so it is NEW- literally.

I am thinking that something that the mechanic did to finagle a couple of things on the ISCI Handbrake to make it work with the 2015 RT vs 2012 RTS SE5 we had it on, might be hitting a piece Tupperware or something isn't completely tightened or who knows I am not that adept yet at taking the tupperware off so best let the pro's do it.

I even crawled on the ground poking and taping on things to locate it and no such luck.

Like I said not sure if we should just wait to get to Springfield for Spyderfest or if we should make the 2.5 hour trek again this next weekend to beat the crowds so to speak.

Thanks again for all the responses and thoughts and help. :2thumbs:

Bring it to SF as is and organize a guessing game to raise funds for GOS. Then we'll pull the Tupperware off and whoever guessed right, wins!
