• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need an Aftermarket compass that will work with my 2021 RT?

When I bought the RT this past summer I missed a feature that I had had on my Honda Goldwing, an onboard compass. Especially when just meandering on back roads and losing direction, knowing which way is which would be useful. I tried an inexpensive handlebar mounted compass which did not work at all, I assume due to the metal of the Spyder nearby. Does anyone know of a compass that will work with the Spyder, ideally one easy to mount.

I bought a similar, very inexpensive one, which seemed to work fine when sitting on a table, away from metal and electronics. But when on the Spyder, anywhere, gave continuously false readings and was useless.

At this point I think I will just use the compass feature on the display of my Iphone12 in the phone holder with the screen on indefinitely.

I'm not a directionally challenged person and I've only been lost once in my life, and that was in a foreign country during a hurricane at night. My cell phone compass feature has always been correct. I've never known it to lie to me. Good choice, stick with it.

Vito likes a compass, I like paper maps. Have two GPS, rarely use either. Different strokes................
