There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi ArmyGurl,
Just the mention of "jealous" feels me with urgency and anxiety. I live in a small development where everyone has cool toys ( fast cars, boats, skidoos, new BIG gas guzling Trucks, the nicest motorcycles). My wife just got the new Mercedes E350 and the only time I've been in it is to clean it. I'd rather drive my Endeavor. That is, until I saw the :spyder:for the first time. And like Will Smith said in Independance Day, "I gotta get me one of these!" But I can't afford it for another year, I'm still paying on the Endeavor. So my fear is that one of my neighbors will get it b4 me.
Then you will see some JEALOUSY FOR REAL!!!
When do you plan to make your purchase?

I wont get back from deployment until next year (Feb or Mar 09). 15 month deployments rock!!! I get to miss my last daughter's 1st AND 2nd birthday, missed the first walk, first words, everything!!!! Thank GOD for webcam but I still get to go home to a baby who wont know who the heck i am! Sorry, had a mad moment for a second.

Well, that's about 6 months b4 I can get mine. So, don't ride through my neighborhood, or risk being stoned.
Well if Im ever tempted to pass your way, i promise from one :spyder:lover to another, that I will definitely let u take it for a spin. And then u can at least be the first in your neighborhood to be on one!!!:cheers:

Anyone else who happens upon this thread and is wanting to get a Spyder, be sure to check out the For Sale forums on SpyderLovers and SpyderTalk and also take a peek at eBay. There are Spyders ready to roll, no waiting involved. Some even come with a few upgrades or are Premier editions at a discounted price. Last count, eBay had over 10 Spyders for sale and dbnc has one of his for sale right here, all offer immediate ownership. 
If you find your ideal Spyder for sale across country, there are a few motorcycle hauling services that will transport the Spyder for under $1000, I believe.
Just throwing out options for those who can't stand waiting. :spyder:

You know I agree and have even been seriously considering buying one but there isn't a red one any where to be found. So I guess I just have to grit my teeth and continue waiting. Ordered 6/8/08 Red SE5, went from Sept. to Oct. and last report maybe Nov., e-mail received 8/20/08 -
The SE5 models have just begun production and after the press units for the journalists and demo units for the Demo trucks they will begin to be distributed to the dealers. BRP expects all current SE5 orders to be fulfilled by the end of Nov.

I don't know how I am doing it but I ordered mine 243 days ago. I have heard that it will be here next Friday (again!!). If it is not here by Thanksgiving (Oct 13th) - Even metric DATES are different - LOL - I will see about picking it up in April or May. Laying out the cash, paying insurance and letting the warranty start while it is snowing out doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to me. I hope I can get L'il Miss Muffet in 14 (MORE) days
