• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OH PLEASE! ;) I waited 8 MONTHS to get mine and was lucky to get it when I did. And there are a lot of people out there who waited longer than that. Yeah it SUCKS!!!!! It's worse than any Christmas ever!!! But I can tell you - It's worth it. (Although I sure wouldn't want to go through it again!!)

ArmyGurl - I just wanted to say "Thanks!" For you, and for your service and sacrifice for us! I did my time years ago when we first went to the desert. Spent time in Oman, and then moved up to Saudi Arabia. Spent all of my time in Saudi with the protection ( false sense) from the Patriot missile batteries, and lots of time in bunkers in chem suits. A wonderful (not) 8 months and we came home after the air campaign. I was first in ( read 6 days after the invasion) with a Tactical C-130 Airlift Squadron ( 41st TAS Blackcats) in the Air Force. So again, my hat is off to you. I fully understand the feeling of going wherever you have to go to get a Spyder!

No patience needed...

Driving past the local Honda dealter one Saturday and saw a Spyder out front...didn't even know they existed! Lucky for me, someone had ordered a yellow one and dealer got a Silver one instead. Did a U-turn in the middle of the busiest street in Richmond, VA and 4 hours later, had my :spyder:, new helmet, new jacket, new gloves and signed up from my motorcycle safety course! Nope...didn't even have a license, just the desire. Now I spend much of my free time on this blog and on SpyderTalk.com...it is truly addicting. :2thumbs::2excited: Spend time looking at mods and planning for how you want your Spydie to look...Lord knows, I am logging miles, spending $$ and have a BLAST!! GO2LKG

Yeah those Patriot missiles are a joke aren't they? Funny now but not so funny when you're relying on them to keep you safe. I was rolling on the floor when you mentioned the chem suits cause thats my MOS!!! I know them all too well! Fortunately we dont have to put them on in this 120 degree heat. This site is full of military folks which is so cool cause we all relate to each other in so many ways. Thanks for your service as well!!! Air Force Rocks, I just wish i wasnt blind so I could fly those planes! But I will definitely fly on my :spyder:! Enjoy yours when it comes! And i'm still jealous:thumbup:

During My wait I ordered Micron kit from No Magic, Windshield from F1 (Marcel) pretty sure he had a new one developed before my Spyder was herenojoke. Ordered 2 different helmets before it was here, (didn't feel right in first one) oh just ordered 3rd helmet monday from helmet harbor.com super nice people think I delt with Tom? Also I asked alot of dumb ? on this forum:chat: other than all that chat on here call your dealer often he he and welcome in advance.
P.SZ. I slept with arms around pipe and windshield under pillow' it didn't help but it confirmed my OCD or :yikes::banghead: insanity.....

Hey Spyderman 62, I stopped in and had a look Friday afternoon, setup a test ride for Saturday and ordered it on the spot, I must be lucky as there is one in Alberta and it should be here for the first ride on the long weekend. very excited. Hope yours arrives soon.

8 months? Color: Red, or what??!! Oh! SE5! :yikes:

Ordered my RED SE5 on 8 July. This wait is about to do me in. Thankfully have this site to read up on all things to do with the Spyder. Great site and lots of useful info. Thanks to all.

I ordered mine last week and have an agreement with the dealership that if it’s not delivered by 31 OCT 08 I will get my deposit back (not that I want that.) What in the world takes soooo long to build and deliver these things?...anyone? I’m disabled and do not work so the wait is even worse….I find myself pacing around the house and checking this site 10 times a day. Carpets just about worn out….lol Ohh and I'v ordered 2 jackets, helemets, and gloves from Can AM also got my trike permit all in the last week...so ya, I'm ready!

On 8-13-08 I got my motorcycle permit, took a test drive and put down a deposit. It's supposed to be here (Ky) the last week of Sept. If the last 2 weeks are any indication, the next 4-5 will take forever. In the meantime, I have been reading everything on the net that has to do with Spyders.

I fully understand. I am hoping there will be some kind of large event like the Goldwingers do, or the Star Riders have, that we as Spyder riders can attend and get to meet each other. It is like a whole new group of friends or extended family linked by the magic of a 3 wheeled escape machine.

There has already been one very large gathering by BRP it was the Spyder Homecoming in Valcourt, Quebec back in June. The owner sponsored event in Gatlinburg has grown and taken on a life of it's own. BRP will be attending as well as NoMagicMan and Corbin I believe. The dates are Sept. 23-27. There may be some other vendors there as well. Right now there are at least 50 spyders and even more folks planning on attending. BRP had a regional gathering in Michigan where there were 70 spyders and a beach BBQ. There will be many opportunities I am sure as more folks get their spyders. I understand the wait, we ordered ours last August 07 and got our spyders in March 08. Meeting other spyder owners has been a heck of a lot of fun and they have been great people. I can't wait to meet some more here in just a few weeks.
