• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Natchez Trace Parkway

This past weekend I did NTP (my 2nd time) and still pretty nice relaxing road.
If anyone going to do this road try to do the "Old Trace Drive" on MM 375.8, it is a narrow rough paved twisty short road.

NTP

My partner, FISPYDER, & i did this ride from North to South this past October. We did the entire 444 miles of smiles in 1 shot... nice comfortable road, but after 50 miles or so, it keeps repeating itself... not much to see other than fields, hills & trees... we did get off a few times for gas/foood, etc and returned to the exact spot that we exited... i was extremely impressed as to how well the entire length was maintained however... the road surface was excellent for 95%, and both side were keep up like a fine golf course, my compliments to the crews that keep it looking so nice... speed limit is 50 mph for most of it... we were passed a few times by other bikes, and decided to ramp it up to 60-65mph when we were passed by 2 Rice Rockets doing triple digits.... for the entire 14 hrs on the Trace, we saw much wild-life, and no more than a couple hundred cars, and with NO stop signs or street lights, it was really a pleasure... it's a MUST DO for anyone's Bucket List...

Natchez Trace

I live about 3 miles from the northern end and have spent a good bit of riding time on it. There are three things nearby you might enjoy checking out. First, Loveless Cafe and their cat head biscuits is less than a quarter mile from this end, take the Hwy 100 exit towards Nashville. It will be on your left. Second, get off on Hwy 96 and take a look at the bridge. This is the one they use in a lot of their advertising. Third, taking a break in Leiper's Fork is a nice stop, and less than a mile off the Trace.

This is the portion of the old trace that we took, don't remember the mile marker on it.

If you look closely as you travel the Trace, you can see areas of the Old Trace that have some overgrowth but the old road can still be seen. It's not as clear as the above pics, but identifiable none-the-less.
