After a recent minor fender-bender (actually with a tree when I got run off the road), my dealer replaced a number of parts on my bike including the bumpskid. I didn't inspect when I first got it, but they didn't remove the protective plastic sheet on the bottom of the bumpskid.
I recently started noticing what I thought were blades of grass handing down underneath the bike, but on further inspection they are little pieces of plastic handing down from this sheet. Obviously I need to remove what I can of the sheet, but what kind of chemical can I use to loosen the small bits that are now torn and not part of the main sheet? Orange oil cleaner? Denatured alcohol? WD-40?
