There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. NASCAR's new point system. ???

To me it sounds like they are treating the point system like did in the shoutout series. Just a bunch of small races to make up the results of the overall race.

Looks like it's not the Sprint Cup series.

This reeks of desperation to get people to pay attention to the lower series. Throw any old gimmick against the wall and see if it sticks.

It is what was the "Sprint Cup" series now known as the "Monster Energy Cup" as per the new series sponsor.

I believe the new point system applies to all 3 top series.

Monster Energy, Xfinity and Camping World.

Way too complicated if you ask me, but of course, they did not ask.

Will have to see how the new point system works out. I am going to let the announcers explain everything.

So far, I am liking NASCAR better than football with all its negative drama. If NASCAR get wonky, I will just let it go also.

No superbowl for me on Sunday. I don't want to tough through the game just to see the commercials.

NASCAR just can,t let them race.I have been a fan of nacar since i was a kid and thats a long time.I want it to be safe but come on let the drivers drive the best car they can put on the track. To many cautions and comercials have ruined good racing.Hate to say it but it sure looks fixed when a water bottle brings out a caution and changes the outcome of a race.

The 3 segments are for more commercials and to help sagging beer sales at the tracks. Kind of like intermission time. :roflblack:

:gaah: What a pile of crap! :gaah:
I've been watching NASCAR since the early Seventies, and I've NEVER seen such a convoluted, confusing, and pointless exercise...

Why don't they just have the drivers stop in the infield with 3 laps to go... put their heads up against a series of axe-handles, and spin around until everybody is almost too dizzy to stand up?
THEN: put them back in the cars, and finish the race! :gaah:

why not make each team label everything in their car with their team number... like water bottles, towels , etc..... and if a water bottle appears on the track & causes a caution... penalize that team 100 points & $50,000.00 ... I bet that stuff would stay in their cars then...

I also think it's an attempt to get more concession sales, and add commercials.

Why would you want stop a race twice. I think this is another nail in Nascar's coffin.
