• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A little discussion on yesterdays events at Martinsville. :dontknow:

What do you folks think about the Kenseth vs. Logano incident?

The subject of payback has been discussed for the last couple weeks. Both had been aloof about the subject up until yesterday with about 46 laps to go.

IMO--the take out was a cheap shot of the worst kind.

I am hoping that there are some consequences that will hurt concerning Kenseth.

Then there was the minor version which got about two sentences in the media. Patrick vs. Gilliland. She intentionally took him out and even pursued him after the first hit to make sure the punishment was effective.

At least she admitted to it by saying it was pay back for him tagging her earlier. Kenseth claimed he had a flat tire and that caused the accident--including hitting the gas and forcing Logano to the wall. (Oops--the video cameras were on :roflblack::roflblack:)
 
Joey hasn't been making any friends for a long time. His luck finally ran out yesterday and I was surprised it took that long for it to happen.

NASCAR will announce Kenseth's penalty tomorrow....

NA$CAR asked for exactly this when they decreed " Boys have at it", and this asinine 'chase". It finally bit them in the butt. You can't let the inmates run the asylum.
 
With Kenseth being several laps down, it was pretty obvious what he was doing.... He said he'd payback and he did.. Was Logano right at Kansas?? Probably not. He moved Kenseth out of the way there. But that's racing for a win... Not being taken out when you're leading by a lapped car on purpose....

I am not a Lagono fan but he was so much faster at Kansas he needed to get by. Kenseth ran him up into the wall once. Yesterday was a completely different story. I liked Kenseth but he lost all my respect.

Watching Gordon act like it was the first race he had ever won was the highlight though.
 
Visiting people who watch NASCAR. I quit watching this fiasco with this stupid chase. After seeing Logano take out Kenseth at Kansas and then him perceiving that Keslowski ( Logano's teamate) taking him out at Martinsville while they were playing games with the restart while HE WAS racing for the lead, no I'm not surprised at all. I would expect nothing less. To make Kenseth, the most mild mannered guy racing this angry, took a lot. I expect them to park him, but for him, it was worth it. I Remember Davey Allison saying a long,long time ago if you let somebody run over you, they will keep running over you. That being said, I'm going home this week, so I wish everyone well, but I won't watch this stuff. They have ruined racing for me. I don't think I'm alone. Attendance is down at the track and ratings are down on tv. Congratulations to nascar. You've done a fine job.

I agree that it was a cheap shot from Kennseth, but you only had to listen to the roar of the audience when it happened to know on who's side the crowd was.

Logano is not making any friend with his attitude.

An interesting outcome to the thread. We used to have a NASCAR thread and got a lot of banter on it after each race. That died and disappeared, and now I can see why.

Between deflategate and the NASCAR fight of the week, I am running out of sports that I like to watch.

Glad I have a large cabinet of oldie films that I can watch if things get much worse. :roflblack::roflblack:
