• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If nothing else, the hype over Danica is going to make for a very interesting Daytona 500 next weekend. I know we are going to be watching it.

The speculation for me: Now that Danica has the pole position locked up, how is she going to fair when she is the leader of the pack? Add in-- that there are lots of drivers who want to "take her out" (in the bad way)--no other pun intended. :roflblack: Then, throw in all the unknowns about the "squirrley" gen 6 cars and the "unknowns" that go with them--all in all--we should have a very interesting race next week. I am hoping that no one gets injured in the process. They have already had some pretty good wrecks.

I wouldnt be surprised to see her or Gorden, slide to the rear of the pack in the Duels to preserve the car for the 500.

Less wear on the car, and less likely to be involved in the big one. Would be a option if they have troubles stayin out front in the Duels.
 
I thought I heard one of the announcers that not only won the pole but set a new track record by .004 of a second.
 
Randy's depression

I hate to see Randy so depressed....especially this early in the season! :roflblack: But I will give him a little on the predictions....now that Danica is shed of the old geezer she'll begin to 'step out' some, she and Ricky boy will probly have an on-track dust up and that will be it for that budding romance....she may even break up a marriage or two before settling down in her destined role as the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion!! :firstplace:

The shootout was an ok race IMO,an uncharacteristic mistake by Smoke took out some good cars early, the G6 is kinda squirrely but puts the race where it should be, in the hands of the drivers. The duals could get interesting, especially if Danica goes against her crew chief's advice and tries for all the marbles! :dontknow:

Bottom line....Sunday will be GREAT, how could it not be, it's the Daytone 500....2013!!

Lets see.......Danica in a fire-suit, any other driver in a fire-suit...........Danica gets my vote.
 
No doubt; she's real easy on the eyes! :thumbup:
But it ain't a beauty contest; she's GOT to learn how to race! ;)
She's got talent, but still lacks the experience...

Ok folks.......I'm a Tony Stewart fan from way back. My first vote will always be Tony first, Newman second............then I suppose I gotta vote Danika third. Its all Stewart Haas!

I have been following Ryan Newman since before Roger Penske put him in his first full-time ride. I put Tony behind Ryan, but not because of my loyalty. When Tony comes up to NY for Zippy's Charity ride, he makes the day fun. However, my mom (on her Mach Z) did beat him across the lakes:ohyea:the first year they went up for the charity ride. Both are stand up guys, as I have met them both. Danica is in a good place where she will get to learn from two of the better wheel-men in racing today. Hopefully The 500 will end w/Tony's first 500 victory, or Ryan's second (gotta admit I am hoping for the later).:thumbup:
 
Never was a fan of Stewart. Was a little cry baby when things didnt go his way. In the past few yrs, he's matured
and has grown on me...but not enough to see him win.

Another Driver I cant stand is Kyle Bush...He's the biggest baby out there...what a whiner. Its a shame because he is a good driver.
