• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lamonster

Found this guy in my house just now. :yikes: It's the biggest spider I have ever seen alive that wasn't a tarantula. I'm not even sure what it is. It's a good 3" to 4" long with the legs. nojoke

Careful there .... the dog got your finger once already. Don't let this mean looking bugger get you again.

Looks like a wolf spider to me. They carry their babies on their abdomin. Very cool but they do bite. Save those fingertips, Lamonster!!!!

At my house, that would be called a DEAD spider...... but it does look like a wood spider....

A few years ago, one of those huge things nearly scared me to death :yikes: . . . it was perched above the curtain rod and when I opened the curtains, it ran (jumped?) :ani29: down the sheers curtains and disappeared under the bed! Needless to say, the hunt was on! One of us had to go . . . it was either him or me!

Wolf Spiders ...venomous - non-aggressive
wolfspider150.gif

Venom toxicity - the bite of the Wolf Spider is poisonous but not lethal. Although non-aggressive, they bite freely if provoked and should be considered dangerous to humans. The bite may be very painful. First aid and medical attention should be sought as soon as possible, particularly as to children or the elderly
:roflblack:
At least its NOT lethal?:roflblack:

Looks like a Wolf Spider - wonder how hard they bite?

My tarantulas shoot hairs when they get scared or mad. They stick in you like little cactus needles and make you itch.
