Volusia Spyder Ryders

for months I had a Yahoo group on line with the name of "Spyder Ryders of Daytona Beach" the most members it drew in was 4.1. One of the guys that joined met with me and said he wanted to try something so we agreed to help each other out. He went to a web site www.meetup.com and started a group and named it "Volusia Spyder Ryders." In less then 4 weeks he had 4 members. Then he came to me one Friday at lunch and says "Bob, I want you to be a Sub Organizer while I go back to Ohio and restore my farm house, airplane hangers, and barn." Being a friend I said go for it. Now a year had gone by since I generated the Yahoo group and it was going no where so I closed it down

Then I remembered spyderlovers.com and got active here and remembered I had listed the Yahoo thing here as a group so I asked Lamont to change the name to VSR. That accelerated the growth of VSR to its present stage of 11 members. After I rewrote the greeting statement and all that.

it has been a challenge to draw members out of the woodwork so I tried homemade poster sheets and went around to almost every brand dealer in town handing out posters. I keep revising them and I have one now tat disappears pretty regular like at the Can-Am dealer. Plus their sales guys are backing me now. so maybe it will grow.
