• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Wife's RT needs more lights on the rear end (suggestions)

Need more running lights, brake lights and turn signals. We rode for a little today and guys behind us said poor running lights and could hardly see the turn signals. Any help and maybe pictures.
Much thanks, David

Highly recommend the Custom Dynamics/ESI HMT taillight brakelight, and their Mudflap Lights. I use the HMT as a brakelight only. I think it gets better attention that way. With the Double Play up front mudflap lights can also act as turn signals. There is a new HMT that has signals, too. A lot of owners have also added LED arrow signals to their mirrors. There are also trunk mounted lights from TricLED and KewlMeatal. Cruise through teh sponsor's links on the SpyderLovers home page for lots of choices.

Thanks. Went and looked at it. I think I'll try the all in one trunk light and add arrows to the mirrors and go from there.

I rode behind A couple bikes at Spyderfest that had the strips down the fenders (tricled), I have them now because the difference they make is huge. I also have the high mount light and the two strips from tricled that mount in the gap under the trunk lid and just below there. It really lights up the back end.

I added the Custom Dynamics HMT Brake/Running Light, the TricLED Invisible 3-4 Brake/Running Lights, Mud flap lights, and added LED light strips on the lower back of the side bags. As well as reflector strips on the hitch. (attached are pics of the HMT lights, Invisible lights, mud flap lights, and reflector tape) The pic shows where I attached LED running lights on the bags but not wired yet, let me know if you would like a pic of those.

Additional lighting

As Scotty, Nancy's Toy, said the Custom Dynamics,ESI HMT and front fender light is a you cannot do any better. I did our 2011 RTL with both and the wife has seen the before and after and says the after is supreme. I have followed Spyders with the led lamp strips mounted in the front ender groove and personally don't think they get the job done. They look cool. But cool is not necessarily good when your overall safety is the concern.

The 3rd brake light is a must have and I think that the mud flap lights in addition to the fender lights are also a great investment.

I installed the Custom Dynamics red Tru Flex LED Strip on the License plate frame for my Spyder and RT-622 trailer and they are very bright. On the way to Spyderfest this year riding in the rain with overcast skies, I was lead in our group ride. The riders in our group following me said that my trailer license plate LED light was very visible and much brighter than the spyder running lights, which is why I installed it. They also sell a license plate frame with the Tru Flex Led Strip already installed. I also agree with the others about installing the HMT and mud flap lights.

SpyRyd was in our group and he has the Custom Dynamics Fender strip Lights and they were also very bright and visible in the rain. I just installed the Custom Dynamics Fender Strip this weekend after seeing how well SpyRyd's performed.
